Digital World, File island, a forest
"Horn's Claw!"
A three-foot-tall hyena like creature stood above a Lopmon with a paw raised for a blow. The brown bunny creature starred up with terrified eyes. The hyena digimon just kept his green eyes cold. And his ragged blue tie dangled from his neck. His red fur tipped tail lashed from side to side.
"Pawdomon, leave that thing alone," yelled a red haired girl in the distance. She came running from the forest cover into the fields. Her red, black jacket waved in the wind. The girl skidded to a stop next to Pawdomon and her so kind looking face turned bitter as she smirked, "Hold it down."
"Of course," said the Pawdomon his voice had a hint of amusement. "Horn's Claw!" the digimon slit to let the creature sequel and then ripped open Lopmon's throat. And the last sound within the forest was the sound of the Lopmon's blood curdling scream.
The teenage girl grabbed a red;silver digivice from her belt and raised it to the sky where the Lopmon's data was rising. The data froze in place and came hurdling into the device. Which blinked bright as it finished coming into the device

"Another easy target," the girl stated emotionlessly "Let's get back to HQ. The Shadow Master will be wanting that data for t-the X-forms," Pawdomon stuttered at the thought. The picture of a a Lopmon with shadowy resemblances formed in his head.
The girl turned to glare at her digimon before coldly turning towards the forest they had come from, “Let's just get this crap done.”
The digimon sighed and followed his partner. A wail just loud enough for his ears to pick up on came from where the murder had taken place. Pawdomon turned to look behind him, and sadden at the sight. A small green creature was standing in the spot where the Lopmon had been. And then turned its eyes to look at Pawdomon. The hyena creature shivered at the eye contact. The green creature's eyes spoke a thousand words.
I'm sorry Terriermon.....
The Terriermon stood there and just starred for a few seconds. Its ears drooped even more then normal Suddenly it let out and angry wail that echoed through the forest.
"Pawdomon... shut that thing up."
Pawdomon jumped at the voice of his retreating partner and gulped, "Horn's Claw!"
Odabi, Japan, apartment 30B:
Akira awoke with a start. Yet again she was woken from the digimon's attack.. And her beeping alarm clock, which she slammed off. It was just a dream of course, due to the fact that it was impossible to go to the digital world. About 5 years ago it had been locked from the human world. Not long after people's digimon started to disappear for unclear reasons. This includied her brother's digimon Tokomon who had disappeared about a month ago. AJ still grieved over the loss.
"Akira, you woke with quite a loud meow. I hope your tail didn't wake in a knot," said a small yellow creature. It had a yellow tail, purple stripes, and pointed ears.
"I'm fine Nyaromon. Just a dream," Akira responded. She sat up in her bed and looked to her feet, where her digimon was.
"Let me guess... it was that girl and her digimon. What did they do this time?"
"They killed a Lopmon and took its data." She thought about what the Pawdomon had said.
'Data for the X-forms' Her face hardened as he mind wandered. "Hey Nyaromon, do you know what X-forms are?"
"An old legend that goes past my nine lives. But other than just slight memories I can't recall the full story. Why?"
"The Pawdomon said something about getting data for the X-Forms... can't remember the name of who needed them," she answered while kicking her feet to the side of the bed. The pale blond picked up her gold digivice from the bed stand and her whistle from the dresser within it.
"Akira? Akira? Akira!"
Akira looked up sharply and banged her head on the top of her bed. Rubbing her head she turned her head to the door of her room, “What is it AJ?”
"Just coming to tell you to hurry up. Ya don't want to be late for school. Again," her brother teased
"Stop with the lecturing Ayumu," she teased back, using AJ's full first name.. Foot-steps soon were heard leaving the door. So with that she grabbed herself a green turtle neck tank top, denim vest, and jean short shorts.
"Akira do i have to stay?" came Nyramon;s voice pleadfully on the bed.. Akira turned to her digimon and nodded sadly. She felt her digimon hop onto her head in which Akira winced, "Can I at least get some milk for breakfast?"
Akira smiled and took her digimon into her arms, "Of course you can." The two went through the hallway and found the Takaishi family already getting ready. Well, AJ was on the crouch looking at his silver digivice, while their mom was getting ready for work, and their dad was working on a novel.
"Why don't you look purr-fect," said a white cat with yellow gloves and a purple striped tail.
Akira jumped and turned to see her mother's Digimon, "Why thank you Gatomon.”
"Poor AJ... TK's been so worried about him, It's been making his novels even slower," a orange creature commented as he fluttered to the group.
"Even Kari's been depressed. I haven't seen her like this since the Dark Ocean," Gatomon's tone worried as she glance over to her loyal partner. With that Akira and Nyaromon went to the kitchen. She poured a bowl of milk for her digimon partner and grabbed a breakfast burrito for herself.
"Akira?"
"Yes mom?" Akira once again jumped at the sound of her mom's voice. And silently scolded herself for being so jumping.
Kari walked into the living room and looked around, "You almost ready?"
"Almost"
“Okay, well keep an eye on your brother. And don't be late,” with that Kari walked out the front door to go to work and teach.
Akira walked over to her brother and sat down. His digivice didn't light up like the rest of the digidestines' did. "I miss Tokomon so much. I wonder where he disappeared to.”
"I'm sure he's fine" She elbowed him, "Tokomon isn't a weakling ya know."
AJ smiled back, "I know that." He gave her a slight punch to the arm, "But neither am I."The two siblings made jokes and messed around until it was time to walk to school.
Odabi, Japan, School:
Kenta walked on the sidewalk. His father's old goggles on his dark maroon, messy hair.
"Hey Kenta!"
He turned to see Akira and her brother walking about a block behind him. AJ was waving wildly. Kenta waved back and waited for them to catch up. "Took you long enough!"
Akira twisted her hand in the air and gave him the hand in the end, "Your point?"
"You're slow," He smirked at his best friend. The three continued the last five blocks to the school. They turned into the black gates and went to sit by the soccer field.
"So how's DemiVeemon?" Akira asked after her twelve-year-old brother had went to his locker.
"Hungry," they both started to laugh at the obviousness. A shadow loomed over them and Akira jumped. She sure seemed jumpy today. They turned to see a boy with brunette, really sideways, hair with black shorts and a blue, black shirt standing next to them. He had a blue sweat band around his head which made his hair look even messier.
"Hey Kris. See you still haven't cut that hair. And doing well on the soccer feild! One powerful kick."
The boy raised his head proudly and smirked, "Well, what do you expect? Soccer's my game cous'."He rubbed his head "My hair comes to the second thing I need most in life. Soccer and then my hair."
"Mom says you look just like Uncle Tai when he was younger," Kenta's best friend replied again to her cousin.
"Yeah, Yeah. Whatever." The school bell rang and the conversion ended as they went to class.
"Kris can be so annoying," Kenta grumbled as they went to class.
"My cousin just likes to play it cool, Not that he really is. Though I'd trust him better than most around here." She smirked as Kenta gave her an accusing look.
They got to the 7th grade homeroom and sat down in their seats. The maroon haired boy looked out the window as he waited for his math teacher to start class. Akira was taking her time to study her math problems. The class started and kept going in a blur, that's when he saw it. A green creature was on the grass outside near the opening gates. It had one horn on its head and long dropping ears. But that was all hercould see from the top window. Everyone knew it was against school rules to take out their digivices, let alone to bring their digimon to school. Which you could thank the high school students for. Thanks to their bright idea of challenging each other on school grounds. So where did this one come from? Without a second thought he made his move, "Mrs. Etsuko?"
His teacher looked up from just about to write on the board "Yes Mr. Motomiya, what is it?"
Think... think. I got it! "Akira and I are supposed to go down to the office at..." He looked up at the clock, “8:45 could we go down now?” Akira looked from the desk next to him with eyes that said he was crazy.
Mrs. Etsuko nodded, "Yes go quickly, Take your stuff incase you don't get back up here before the next class starts."
The two friends walked out of the classroom, their book bags hung over their shoulders. When they were halfway down the hallway they sped up and Akira asked, "So what was that about?”
"Be patient and you'll see we just have to get down to the gates." He tugged on Akira's denim vest, "Come on hurry up!"
The two began to run down the stairs and through the halls. Finally they got outside. The green creature was a limp pile near a few bushes by the entanrce gates.
"Oh! No this can't be re-” It's green ears twitched, “Never mind," Akira said as they sprinted forward to the green creature. "T-terriermon.” Akira, without much thought, lifted it's neck. Sure enough there was what looked like a deep scratch. Akira dropped the ear and scurried back in fear. He knew something was amiss
Terriermon started to open its even brighter green eyes. Though they were bright, they were bloodshot from what looked like still abundent tears. "W-who are you? You won't h-hurt me will you?" It wasn't hard to tell the digimon was frightened out of its wits.
"O-of course not. Please do excuse me for asking, but y-you... didn't come from the digital world did you?" Akira was calm but her voice clearing said she was frightened.
Kenta gave a shocked look before turning to his friend with a glare, "I thought we agreed you would tell me if you had one of those digital dreams!"
“And I thought I agreed that they were just dreams...”
“Obviously not. I'm right again.”
The Terriermon was looking from him to Akira, side to side, up and down. His eyes finally rested on Akira, "I-if you know that I came from the digital world, than you know about.... t-the girl.” Terriermon's eyes went cold and they filled with fear
The pale blond haired girl looked at the digimon shocked, "Y-yes, the red haired girl with the Pawdomon. Right?"
"Hyena-San!!!" Kenta jumped back as Terriermon sprang up as he shoutedthe name. The boy quickly tried to shush him by putting his hand over the digimon's mouth. He looked around and then slowly lifted the hands off the digimon's mouth "Hyena-San and Fox-San are the servants of the Shadow Master. Hyena-San is the red haired one you have somehow seen.... and not sure about Fox-San. Luckily, I've never met her."
Hyena-San? Fox-San? names of animals... Kenta's mind realed. "Akira what does Pawdomon look like?"
"About 3 foot tall Hyena digimon. Red hair, and tail, with ragged blue tie. Why?"
He listen to what Akira said and moved on to Terriermon, "Are there more than just those two girls? What type of digimon does Fox-San have?!"
"As far as I know just those two girls...” The digimon stepped away from the harsh sounding Kenta and towards his best friend. “Fox-San I've heard has a yellow digimon. Fairly small," Terriermon tried to explain, but had hard time since again luckily he never met Fox-San.

"Oh crap, period 1 is over already!" Akira gulped and looked back at the school buildings.
Kenta looked back to his friend and then the digimon, “Hide in those bushes we'll be back at lunch, okay?" The digimon nodded and limped into the bushes behind him. Akira was already half-way back to the school buildings, "Hey Akira wait up!"
Japan, high school, _____:
Kohaku was on the bus from the high-school grounds. High school was so tiring, and she still had to pick up her eleven-year-old old brother and six-year-old sister from their schools. Didn't help Kenta and Akira had sent emergency message to all the digidestines to meet at the park.
"Hey, Amber you okay?"
Kohaku jumped as her nickname was called, "Huh? Oh... yea I'm fine. Just really tired."
"Oh okay," Kohaku's friend smiled. "Hey, can you show me that comic you're making?"
That lifted Kohaku's spirits, "Sure thing Maria!" The black haired girl rumaged through her backpack for her sketchbook. She then handed the book to Maria. Ending with a turned head to look out the window. She found herself seeing her two friends Michi Kido, or Mitch, and Minoru Hida, Minnie. The two kids were riding their bikes in their blue school uniforms. Minnie had on her blue boots, white fanny pack, and hooked to her slender belt was a golden brown digivice. Minnie's wavy, light brunette hair was waving behind her. That's when Kohaku saw the yellow ear from the basket
She brought Upamon... So he must have brought Bukamon with him too. Wish I was able to bring Poromon with me.
Mitch waved his hand and a gray head popped out of the basket as she had expected. Bukamon smiled and waved along with Mitch. She waved back to the dark blue haired boy and his digimon. His glasses glinted off the sunshine and his long blue uniform shirt was waving in the wind. He had long black slacks and black shoes on too. Soon the two turned right and rode away from the bus. Which left her to get off and pick up her brother from the elemtry, "See you on Monday Maria!" Maria called something back, but the bus had already moved on.
She was alreay a block away when she remembered she had left her comic with Maria. Kohaku wasn't worried though, she trusted Maria with it. The teen came around the corner and found her brother leaning against a wall a hood over his purple hair. He picked up his book bag and walked to his sister without even looking up. He wore gray jeans that were cuffed and a purple striped hoody shirt that was, of course, wrinkled. As he got closer and looked up Kohaku winced at the sight she saw. Her brother's eyes were blood-shot, and around one of them was a developing bruise.
"What in the name of god happened?!?!" Why ask... her brother had gotten beaten up, again. It was amazing how strong he was though to never give up, or in.
"Kids were just being rude. Another average day." her brother simply.
"Oh Ken...," she brought her brother into a hug and he just stood there but soon pulled away.
“Let's just get home.”
Kohaku sighed, and walked behind her brother. If only Minomon were here. He'd protect him, oh Minomon where are you?
